I am inspired the beauty of creation–such wonderful variety in flora and fauna–and those beautiful sunsets that are created with the Master Artist’s paintbrush–what gorgeous color!!!!

I, too, am inspired by nature! I know that I can’t really replicate what God created but I try to use elements of it in my art. In mixed media, the trend of using found objects has been really entrenched, but I’m starting to prefer natural “found objects” like acorns and moss over the industrial bits and pieces that everyone else is using. Blending the two is even better!

I am inspired by the beauty of where I live in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. I live right along the shores of Lake Superior. I have deer grazing in my yard, coyotes mating on the ice and bald eagles flying by. The sunrises and sunsets are amazing and even our cold winters bring us some amazing blue ice and amazing winter storms. It’s all good. I’ve been influenced by the many colors of blue as a result and am inspired looking out my window every day!
