I carefully apply acrylic gesso with both horizontal and vertical strokes to create a poor man's canvas paper. Then I enjoy painting in oils or acrylics.

Thanks, Lois. Your idea is similar to mine. I worked in a sales position at one particular time and when I switched jobs, I had business cards leftover. You can gesso the printed side and put art & contact info on it-- or for a different idea, put a magnet on the old printed side with artwork on the blank side with your contact info over it.

A friend suggested making business cards out of failed watercolor paintings. Cut the paper down to printer size and print your information on the unpainted side with a business card program. Or just cut the paper into business card dimensions with a paper cutter and hand write your information on the unpainted side. "Business cards," of course, don't have to be for a business. They can be personal cards for friends, family and colleagues for your name, address, e mail and phone number.

Michael, I think you're just wonderful. Early this year, when I was a new customer, I found a pack of flower seeds with the other goodies you had placed in my order. That was very special to me. Right now, even with the cold weather, there is still one big, beautiful, American Journey Halloween Orange zinnia blooming on my patio. Thank you so much!
